Question:
Why did you decide to attend UCLA instead of trying to go pro out of high school?
Answer:
For me, it was about growing as a person and trying to get that college experience. I'm happy with my decision. I wouldn't change it for the world.
Question:
When you went through a hot streak, did it make things easier or harder on you to keep it going?
Answer:
It was a daily thing that you knew you were going to be asked about, so it was definitely in the back of your mind, but that didn't take away from the fact that you still had to prepare. You still have to try to figure out a way to help the team win.
Question:
You have an intense look on the baseball field when playing, but are you having fun out there?
Answer:
When I'm on the baseball field, that's where I love to be. I'm not joking around and smiling. That competition, that heat-of-the-battle intensity, that's how I have fun. The other stuff is kind of a learning process.
Question:
Would adding a pitcher help the Phillies make a push for the playoffs?
Answer:
The better pitching you have, the more opportunity you'll have to win games. I know our organization wants to win, and if they can find a piece that will fit into our puzzle to give us a better chance, they'll do that.
Question:
What advice did Reggie Jackson give you in regards to the HR Derby?
Answer:
He told me, If it's high, let it fly. If it's low, let it go. It seemed pretty simple. I think Josh took the advice better.
