The Phillies won 92 games during the regular season and are aiming to make a deep run in the playoffs. This is the first time since 1980-81 that the Phillies won the NL East for two consecutive seasons. After last year’s first round defeat, Chase is hungry for playoff success.
“I thought we were really prepared last year, but it all starts with starting pitching,” Chase said. “Last year is over with. It’s a whole new year this year. This year we have the ability to do a lot of different things. I think we’re swinging the bats a lot better, too, and that’s a good sign.”
The Phillies first playoff game vs. the Milwaukee Brewers will take place at Citizens Park begins at 3pm (ET) on Wednesday October 1st.
